News - Foley & Small Files Yazmin Claim
Foley & Small recently filed a complaint on behalf of a northern Indiana woman who was hospitalized after developing severe blood clots and other complications. Doctors and researchers have found that women using birth control pills containing Drospirenone, a primary ingredient of Yaz and Yasmin, have had a higher risk of blood clots, heart attacks and strokes than women not using birth control pills. A Multi-District Litigation, proceeding has been formed in the federal district court for the Southern District of Illinois to handle such claims. The complaint filed by Foley & Small is pending before the Illinois District Court.
