News - NECC Bankruptcy Disclosure Hearing
The US Bankruptcy Court in Boston, Massachusetts held a hearing on the morning of February 24, 2015 regarding the adequacy of the proposed Disclosure Statement documents in the NECC bankruptcy proceedings. It is anticipated that the Court will be approving the proposed disclosure documents. The next significant hearing date will be for approval of the overall bankruptcy Plan for NECC, which will include the proposed distribution plan of funds to be received by those persons who suffered injuries and those families who lost a loved one as result of receiving a contaminated epidural injection manufactured by NECC. That hearing is not yet been set and it is hoped and anticipated that the hearing will occur in May. Evaluation of claims by those injured from contaminated injections should be occurring this summer with settlement fund distributions occurring thereafter.
